Mountain Cotechino – The Taste of the Venetian Winter

On Venetian tables winter has a precise flavour: that of cotechino. Mountain Cotechino follows the ancient techniques of home-style pork butchery, using the finest meat from the farm’s own pigs. It is a sausage typical of Venetian cuisine, especially in winter, and a star of the end-of-year festivities.

It is a natural sausage with NO preservatives or chemical additives: only minced pork, rind, salt and pepper, for an authentic, genuine taste.

Behind every cotechino there is great care: particular attention is paid to the nourishment of the animals and their well-being, to guarantee a controlled supply chain starting from the cultivation of the cereals and vegetables used to feed them.

Good practices and tips:

👉 Store in the refrigerator at +4 °C, removing the cotechino from the vacuum pack and leaving it on an open plate. (ideally do NOT store in a plastic bag)

👉 It is shipped vacuum-packed but we recommend removing it from the packaging and placing it on a plate in the fridge. Consume preferably within two weeks of opening if kept in the fridge.

👉 If you would rather keep it vacuum-packed, it must be put in the freezer and therefore frozen.

👉 The oxidation of the product once it has been cut and comes into contact with the air is typical of a natural product free of preservatives and chemical additives, and does not compromise its organoleptic characteristics.
