This delightful biscuit was born more than two centuries ago, when, in the colourful houses of the island of Burano, housewives prepared sweet treats for their families with their own hands.
The Esse was created as an alternative to the traditional Bussolà. Its wavy shape recalls the course of the “Grand Canal”, which winds through Venice from Punta della Dogana to Piazzale Roma.
